The Native American Lakota People, call Earth, Unci Maka, ‘our Sacred Grandmother’. She is the giver of all our lives, our nourishing foods, and we are connected through her rivers. We are entwined with Unci Maka in all that we do, and we must honour her and learn to be a relative to all living things and all things of the earth.

Join our Unci Maka half marathon to plant 12 trees in her honour.

Entries will need to be submitted by 9th January 2024 to be counted within the race. Your seeded medal, if you’ve ordered one, will be sent within 5 working days of the closing date by 2nd class post.
