About these trees

Your event changed the world for good! Not only did all of you who took part smash it for yourselves, you’ve also helped change the world for good. We planted a tree for each participant and look what it means.

We plant our trees through our partnership with Veritree. This guarantees our trees have been planted, counted and verified, and we know that they’re helping the local communities involved.

Where are my trees

We’re currently supporting two areas through veritree:

Agroforestry – Senegal

In Senegal, many families rely on land that has been worn down by years of intensive peanut farming, which has led to struggling soils, fewer native plants and animals, and increased hardship with each passing season. For the communities around the Ndankou and Patte Forests, this program offers a chance to rebuild not just the land but also their livelihoods. By supporting 6,000 farming families to restore one hectare each, the initiative brings hope for more fertile fields, stronger local ecosystems, and a sustainable future. This work goes beyond land rehabilitation—it empowers these families to create a more resilient landscape, safeguarding their communities and the Gambia River Watershed for generations to come.

Mangroves – Kenya

In coastal Kenya, mangrove forests have long been essential for local communities, providing jobs, food, and vital resources. But with rapid urbanization and poor management, these forests have been heavily degraded, threatening both biodiversity and the livelihoods of those who depend on them. This project aims to restore these mangroves, creating healthier fishing grounds, new income sources through sustainable harvesting, and stronger coastlines to shield communities from tropical storms. By supporting this effort, we can help break the cycle of poverty and strengthen the future for Kenya’s coastal residents.

About us

At Earth Runs Active for Earth, we’re dedicated to empowering ordinary folk to live active lives and, in doing so, help to regenerate our planet.

We plant trees for people through our active lifestyles programmes. These include planting a tree every active day for our 1% Club members, or with our biodegradable seeded medals, and for every sports challenge our participants take part in. We’re encouragers and enthusiasts who believe in the power of movement. Healthier people for a healthier planet.

These figures are a guide to what the trees will do. We regularly monitor our sources for this information, we err on the side of caution rather than make big claims. Just like every human, each tree is different, they grow at different rates. It takes time before they can give back to the planet; but they will. We don't run official carbon offset schemes, we plant because it's the right thing to do.
