We partner with well-established Charities that work around the world to do our tree planting for us. These guys are so much better than us at planting!
For one, they have a proven success rate. We only work with Charities that can guarantee a high success rate for growing trees. It’s one thing planting but it’s no good if they don’t grow. We aim for a minimum 90% success rate. The trees you earn are planted at the most optimal time of year for survival.
Community benefit
The charities we use also support and work in partnership with local communities, ensuring that it’s not just the trees that are planted but that we’re sowing the seeds for local success so that everyone benefits. Our aim is to do good so this is something that’s important to us.
Where the need is greatest
Your trees get planted all around the world. Namely, Asia, South America, Africa, North America and Australia. There are the occasional plantings in Europe but we opt to let the Charities decide where the trees are needed most. Looking at the data shown on the Global Forest Watch website you can see the need for planting in these regions. This data, alongside local community knowledge, is used to decide where plantations will be.
Twice a year we are given a report on our donations and an update of where the trees have been planted and how they are doing. Each time we receive these, we pass that information on to you so you can see the amazing things your miles are doing.
What a wonderful thing to do and great to hear where they go. 🙂
Thank you so much. We’re just the facilitator though – it’s you awesome runners who are doing wonderful things!
